Over 8 years ago Rita Trager and Jess Cohen met while working at a top 15 professional services firm. They quickly formed a lasting partnership, combining their over 30 years of diverse recruiting experience.





RJI Search was formed several years later when it became apparent that what their clients needed and craved was a white glove boutique staffing partner that would cater directly to their needs. RJI services all industries and takes pride in its Partner’s unique ability to leverage their extensive professional networks to fill roles timely and with ease.

Rita Trager

Rita has a strong track record of reducing project based hiring costs, improving retention rates, expanding diversity hiring, and meeting or exceeding clients' staffing goals. Rita is a true generalist recruiter with specializations in Healthcare, Cannabis, Accounting & Finance, Hospitality, IT & Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing & Distribution, and Executive Level search across varying industries in NYC and national markets. Rita manages and cultivates client relationships and takes a hands-on approach with clients and candidates alike. Rita holds a dual Masters' degree in Psychology and Social Work and is fluent in English and Russian.

Rita Trager is a goal-driven individual who brings 5 years of corporate Human Resources leadership , and 17 years of agency side recruiting experience to her clients and candidates. Rita is an experienced team-builder who is a well-connected recruitment professional with powerful listening and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers in every field. She has expertise in translating client requirements into viable candidate profiles, sourcing, selection, behavioral interviewing, and relationship management. She has successfully staffed corporate and start-up positions from the entry to executive level.

Jess Cohen

Jessica brings over 15 years of agency side, consultative experience to her clients and candidates. Since 2005 Jessica has been a full life cycle recruitment manager working on the agency side of the staffing world. Jessica has had success placing candidates at the C-level down to staff and everything in between. Jessica is a true generalist recruiter, business development manager, and manager of staff. Not only does she work in the NYC and California markets, but also recruits on a national and international level upon her client's requests. She has placed talent in over 25 states and several countries. Jessica’s connections and acumen sets her apart from her peers, and her ability to gauge her clients’ needs and make strong marriages is second to none. Due to her successful placements she has established exclusive relationships with her clients

and comes highly recommended for identifying talent in varying marketplaces. Jessica is also a Non-Profit Guru, who has extensive experience in placement, board management, organizational development and fundraising for her NFP client’s.

Jessica Manages and cultivates client relationships across varying industries, including but not limited to: Cannabis, Healthcare, Technology, IT Services, Hospitality, Accounting and Finance, Non-Profit, Real Estate, Fashion, and Marketing, as well as Advertising, Digital Media, and Entertainment. Jessica prides herself on her ability to build and grow relationships through her intimate knowledge of the New York Marketplace and take a hands-on approach with clients and candidates alike. Having a diverse skill set, she consults on everything from operations to HR Policies and procedures for clientele.
